Happy Thanksgiving!

Ready or not Thanksgiving is just around the corner - as in tomorrow!! I'm so excited to see our families and dig into some comfort food!

And speaking of food... Ryan and I have actually already started! We have a little tradition we call Thanksgiving Just the Two of Us. We had our Thanksgiving date night last Friday  so we would be ready for round two this week! :) I told Ryan not to go overboard this year, but his response was "I don't even know what that means"! For those of you that don't know Ryan loves to chef it up in the kitchen and this meal was no exception....

Look at that perfect golden, crispy skin!

The table...
Not very Thanksgiving/Fall-ish, but we pushed up our Thanksgiving night, as in Ryan called me from work around 3 and said, how about Thanksgiving tonight? So this is what you get. Focus on the food people.

Ok, I actually have a lot more photos I wanted to share with you, but that would defeat the whole kitchen reveal process. I'll get to it, I'll get to it! Stick with me here!

What are some of your Thanksgiving traditions?

  2. Brian and I do the same thing! We had our Thanksgiving meal a week and a half ago. We did a turkey, ham, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and chocolate pecan pie. Yum :) Hope you have safe travels home and Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. The food looks absolutely delicious! You have a terrific husband. I have only hosted 2 Thanksgivings (this holiday was new to me) and many Christmases (being the oldest of 4) after moving here (from the UK) We have spent some Thanksgivings in restaurants as my siblings were away some of the time. Now they are starting to host to give me a break so this year will be with my newly married sister. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  7. That is such a sweet and cute tradition! I love that! We started doing that with our Christmas presents because we get so overwhelmed with family on the real Christmas day...it's nice to have some quiet time to yourselves and develop your own traditions! And I can't wait to see the kitchen reveal!!!!

  8. Yum! I am so excited for Thanksgiving! One of my favorite traditions as a child was on Thanksgiving Eve, we'd all go to my grandmother's and have "Pie Night" where we ate as many pieces of pie as we wanted. It's nice because on Thanksgiving, you're usually too full to really enjoy dessert, and my grandmother would bake oodles of pies for the family! I'd love to start this tradition up again at some point.
