Laurel Dawn at Abode Love has the honor of kicking off this fabulous blog hop with...
ENTRYWAYS!
You can link up a current post about your entryway or a previous one! If you don't have an entryway to show off - that's ok too! Go on over to {Abode Love} and check out some who did link up. I can't wait to see the inspiration!
I actually don't have a formal entry way, but the way our front living room is set up I think I can sort of create one. Currently this is what you see when you walk in our front door...
You guys probably haven't seen this room at all yet! It's no where close to being complete. I'll share more later though. |
The couch can definitely be moved further to the left which centers it better with the huge window across from it. I have big plans for this room one day, but for now it's not anywhere near the top of our priority list. But regardless, in the future I'd like to add a vignette - an antique chest, books, vase and twigs, and either a mirror or art to create an "entry moment".
Maybe something like this...
I would like this better with a different lamp, or at least a different shade |
I can't wait to see what you all have up your sleeves to make your entryway one of a kind!
PS- The link parties will stay open until Oct. 14.
Those inspiration shots are stunning! And I love your sunburst mirror. :) Yay for roomspiration finally kicking off!
ReplyDeleteHang in there - I see your vision! New follower - we're in the middle of a total-house re-do and currently our entry doorway is getting fixed. Not pretty, but I have vision and that's what its all about right?! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm making the rounds of roomspiration - nice to meet you! btw, if you've done any kids rooms I'd like to invite you to link up at Tuesday's Nursery. It's for kids decor & accessories at any age. Have a great week!
Oh, wow. The picture with the stairs really could be our entryway. We plan on painting it a shade off from white, kind of a linen color. Hopefully sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a formal entryway either, you walk right into our living room - so I had to get a little creative with some of the accessories in order to accommodate coming and going. Looking forward to all of the rooms and going over to check out today's entry ways.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color on the walls. Sunburst mirror is gorgeous and I also love the color of your wood floors. It is very inviting! :)
ReplyDeletesoooo beautiful!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a lovely home! DIY and interior design never seem to be complete, do they? Thanks for your nice comment on my entryway built-in post. To answer your question the back of the built-in is actually a mural hand painted by myself. I'm planning a post on how I did it soon. Thanks for your visit! I'm your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteLOVE all of these. HUGE fan of the color grey!!! Our new house is getting greyed one room at a time!!!
