Roomspiration - DAY 6: DINING ROOMS

Roomspiration

The Roomspiration room of the day is...

DINING ROOMS

Hosted by...

Our dining room and living room are actually one long room spanning the width of our house. Our entire home's layout makes our spaces incredibly useable. We my husband cooks often and we always sit at our dining room table. It doesn't hurt that we can still watch our TV in the living room, but sometimes we mute it so that we can catch up and talk about our days - those dinners are my favorite!

Speaking of favorites, my favorite piece in our whole house is our dining room table. My sweet {and very talented} husband built for me out of door jams torn out of our house when replacing trim and doors.

You can read more about Operation Table Build {here}.

When we bought our house the dining room looked, well pretty brown...
BEFORE:

But we used the pine paneling and original oak hardwood floors to our advantage
creating an entirely different look..

I hope you all have a great weekend! I can't wait to see the other dining rooms linked up!!

  1. It always amazes me that your incredibly talented husband built your table from the door jams around your home. It absolutely turned out beautiful and that is a piece you will always treasure. Have a great weekend!
